Olivia J. Kiers, “Bonfire,” linocut, 3 x 5″, 2013

This is a little linocut I recently did as an elaboration off an old block.  Originally, this was oriented horizontally, and was a little picture of the sun (the big round spot/moon/face) and some random squiggly lines that represented clouds (now part of the body and “arms” of the fire).  There was enough un-carved surface on this block for me to want to reinvent it.  This is the result!
