The following two images were printed from the same block, one in pale blue and the other in black. They were both then colored over with gouache.

For those of you who are not familiar with Boston, Kenmore Square is famous for two main things: the proximity of Fenway Park (and the hoards of baseball fans who descend upon it on game days) and the giant CITGO sign that lights up the night.  I’ve also show the glass demi-arcade of the Kenmore bus station, and, in the background, two of Boston’s skyscrapers that are most visible from Kenmore if you are facing East, the Prudential and the Hancock Towers. Both structures have interesting histories if you care about mid-century architecture.
