Tremont Looking West
This is going back to my sketchy lino style. It’s inspired by crossing Tremont Street in Boston’s South End after work, on a winter evening. The streetlamps were all on, but the sky was still a soft green-blue. I was wondering if I could convey a sense of that in black and white, just using line. Not sure I did, but certainly this was a fun block to cut and print. The view is busy and overwhelming, but that’s the city for you. I might try to print a version of this using color; we’ll see.
