This is a commission for the family business. My folks own and operate a vineyard, winery and tasting room down on the home front in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. The name is Ox-Eye Vineyards (Check it out!) after the ox-eye daisies that grow in the area. My talented sister Molly designed the ox-and-flower motif that appears on most labels, but sometimes they like to switch things up for certain reserve labels and special blends–that’s what this design is for. Can’t wait to see how it appears on the actual bottle, once text and all is added.
This is a linoleum block print, with the image file amped up to maximum contrast on the computer so that it gets rid of any grainy quality.
